Joris Rijsdijk
PhD Candidate in Computer Graphics
I grew up in Dordrecht, studied computer science at TU Delft, and ended up staying in Delft to work on a PhD where I apply radiance fields to real-world use cases.
I am advised by Ricardo Marroquim and funded by Dutch Research Council (NWO).
What I work on
- Gaussian Splatting
- Real-time Rendering
- General Purpose GPU
Outside the lab
I like to play various instruments [piano, guitar, drums and saxophone], swimming and hiking. I try to write about things I find genuinely interesting or fun on the blog.
